Metro Targets Child Abuse For 1st Tuesday

Monthly Meeting Helps Community Recognize Signs Of Abuse

Child abuse prevention will be the topic of conversation at this month's First Tuesday meeting, sponsored by Metro police.

Citizens will learn the signs of child abuse as well as other forms of domestic crimes. Detectives from the Crimes Against Youth and Family Bureau give information about the crimes they investigate, as well as the services they monitor:


  • Child and elderly abuse
  • Sexual assault and abuse
  • Domestic violence
  • Internet crimes against children
  • Juvenile crimes
  • Missing persons
  • Victim services
  • Sex offender notification

Residents will also be allowed ask questions to Metro questions regarding the topic.
