Police identify the woman who was shot in her car has died from her wounds at University Medical Center.

Blanca Gonzalez, 39, was found in her car Saturday near Nellis and Charleston boulevards.

Gonzalez was stopped at a red light next to a Buick with five people when a gun discharged, shooting through the Buick's passenger window and hitting Gonzalez in the head, police said.

Gonzalez's car rolled into the intersection and was struck by an oncoming vehicle. She was taken to UMC where she later died.
