LAS VEGAS -- Metro police have identified the girl who they say was stabbed to death by her father.

Gloria Redman, 12 years old, was found dead by officers in a trailer at the Road Runner RV Park Wednesday.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Gloria's father, William Redman, 54, outside the trailer with wounds similar to Gloria's. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital. Police later booked him, in absentia, for her death. They did not say what condition he is in.

Friends and teachers at Harney Middle School -- where Gloria attended -- have set up a memorial fund in her name. Anyone wanting to donate money should go to a Silver State School Credit Union.
