LAS VEGAS -- The parent company of Nevada Power is giving back to the Valley.Sierra Pacific Resources gave $1 million to Nevada Cancer Institute Monday.Officials said the money will be used to continue the center's research, treatment and education for their customers in both southern and northern Nevada.
The institute opened in 2005 and has been leading cancer research and treatment in the state. For more information, visit the NCI Web site.
