LAS VEGAS -- While they would not confirm what the substance was, Clark County fire officials said that the powder discovered in an Excalibur hotel room is not dangerous.Clark County firefighters received the report just before 10 a.m. They said a 44-year-old man called hotel workers into his room after waking up with white powder over his bed.Authorities said the substance is not dangerous.This scare comes just days after police found a vial of powdered ricin in a hotel room just off the Strip. The man renting that room has been comatose at Sunrise Hospital since Feb. 14.Authorities searched a room at the Excalibur last Friday in connection to an investigation into the discovery of the toxin ricin at an off-Strip motel. No ricin was found, they said.Police were directed to the Excalibur after finding out that a relative of a man involved in the ricin case stayed there earlier.Details in this story are developing.
