Monte Carlo employees are ready to go back to work.

Hundreds gathered in excitement Thursday for a rally just for them in the Lance Burton theater.

MGM officials said the rally was held to thank the employees for their patience during the reconstruction.

"Looking forward to the re-opening. Looking forward to getting back to work. This is a great company to work for. They did pay us the full thirty days, not just our salaries, but our gratuity compensation as well," said bell person Patrick Sampson.

A Monte Carlo spokesperson said repairs plus interrupting business cost the hotel an estimated $100 million.

The Monte Carlo has been shut down since late January.
