LAS VEGAS -- Mitt Romney paid a visit to Las Vegas Thursday in hopes of winning Saturday's caucus."Washington politicians have been promising us action for years and haven't delivered. They told us they would end our dependence on foreign oil, and they haven't fix social security," Romney said.Romney addressed being a Mormon running for president."It’s vision, values and experience that matter the most. I don't think religion will factor into the decisions of people here in Nevada," Romney said.He did talk about marriage."I would suggest we enact a federal law to define marriage as a relationship between a man and woman," he said.On the numerous issues facing the country and the state of Nevada, such as health care, Romney said, “I'm the only person running for president who has put in place a plan to get health insurance for every single person."He then spoke about improving the economy."A short term stimulus and staying globally competitive -- everything from helping the housing, to competing on a level playing field, so middle income Americans see a tax cut," Romney said.He also said he wants to see an end to the war in the Middle East."So Americans should come together to support moderate Islamic voices, so that Muslims can defeat the Jihadist," Romney said. When it comes to Yucca Mountain, Romney said he would not impose anything to threaten the health or safety of the people of Nevada. He is in favor of securing our borders and giving higher pay to better teachers. The man who claims he's not a politician said the people of Nevada and the entire country will soon see he's the best choice.Romney will be heading to Reno and Elko Friday.
