Wall Falls On 4 Workers At CityCenter

LAS VEGAS -- Four more workers have been injured at the CityCenter construction site.According to police, four workers were struck after a rebar wall fell from an upper story. Three were complaining of back injuries while the fourth was still able to walk, they said.Four construction workers suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a steel rebar wall toppled over at the CityCenter construction site on the Las Vegas Strip. MGM Mirage Inc. spokeswoman Yvette Monet said the 25-foot-tall, 150-foot-long wall, located near the main hotel tower, fell at about 1 p.m.Monet said the workers would have been on the north side of the wall and, in the worst case, would have ridden it on its way down.
All of the men have been transported to University Medical Center and for non-life-threatening injuries.Since the project began in 2006, four employees have been killed while working at the site. The mega-resort is slated to open in late 2009.
