LAS VEGAS -- Chester Stiles pleaded not guilty in a Clark County court Wednesday.Police arrested Stiles in October in connection with the sexual assault of a 2-year-old girl on videotape. The tape, which was turned over to Nye County police in September, sparked a nationwide manhunt, which led to Stiles' arrest in Henderson.Stiles was held by authorities on more than 20 charges, including a felonious charge of creation of child pornography. He pleaded not guilty to state charges of lewdness with a child under the age of 14, sexual assault of a minor under the age of 14 and attempted sexual assault with a minor under the age of 14. If convicted, he could face multiple life terms in prison.Stiles remains in isolation at the Clark County jail. But one of his lawyers said he intends to submit a written request asking the judge to set bail.Stiles' hearing is set to begin in April 14.
