LAS VEGAS -- Pricey hotels may drive away one of Las Vegas's biggest conventions.The Consumer Electronics Show is threatening to leave Las Vegas by 2011.They said hotel prices have gone up 325 percent, and it's too expensive to run their convention here.The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has been asked to work with the hotels to make it possible for the convention to return.“We're hopeful that our partners in the hotel business and the LVCVA recognize the importance of working with us to control the cost of hotels,” said Jason Oxman, CES vice president of communications.CES draws up to 150,000 people to the Valley, and it brings in about $230 million, excluding gaming.
