The latest technology is being showcased at the annual Consumer Electronics Show this week.

The CES features the latest and greatest in everything from gaming and robotics to high definition everything.

Exhibit officials said the new technologies outnumber the people.

"We anticipate from 2,700 exhibitors here at the show. Some 20,000 new products launched here at CES," said Tara Dunion, a show officials.

Dunion said that the new high-definition products were a huge draw.

"CEA, the company that produces the show, just announced that 50 percent of the American homes now own a high definition television, so there's a huge demand and huge interest. You're going to see the latest greatest the world's largest sets here," said Dunion.

She said that the biggest HD-TV appeared on the convention floor -- a 150-inch television.

Phone technology was also getting lots of visitors.

"You just connect your cell phone to this home phone and you don't need a landline, and basically you can make and receive calls from your cell via your cordless handsets," said Erika Martinez, of Panasonic.

But with all the new technology comes the downside of innovation.

Protection from online phishing, scams and identity theft were a big part of the CES.

"We have a database of fake sites or bad sites block you from visiting that site and take you to the intended site you don't have to figure things out makes it much easier for you to surf the web," said Gary Gueinov, of Cyberdefender.

The CES continues through Thursday, but is not open to the public. The 145,000 attendees, however, bring nearly $233 million to the area.
