LAS VEGAS -- It's always one of the hottest tickets, and it will be taking over the Thomas & Mack this weekend. The National Finals Rodeo kicks off this weekend, bringing some of the best cowboys and girls -- and their fans -- to Las Vegas.

"It's been great," fan Arlene Scheivner said. "We've always watched the national finals on TV and thought it would be great to see it in person."

People travel from across the U.S. and Canada annually to see the broncs, bulls and barrel riders vie for the top prize.

"You get the best cowboys in town, and the best sport on dirt," competitor Mark Reinert said.

The NFR will continue until Saturday, Dec. 15. Officials urge fans to show up early to find parking and avoid traffic.
