LAS VEGAS -- The preliminary hearing for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a toddler and videoptaped it has been postponed for a few weeks to allow the defense more time to prepare their case.Chester Stiles, 37, was scheduled to be in court Monday for his preliminary hearing.Police said Stiles assaulted the girl and recorded it to videotape. The tape was turned over to authorities by Darrin Tuck in September. Tuck said he found the tape in the desert and has no connection with its creation.Police started searching for Stiles after the girl was identified. A family friend of the child saw clips of the young girl from the tape on the news and called her mother, who contacted authorities. The friends were also responsible for identifying Stiles. The girl's family said they had no idea what had happened, and were shocked and devastated when they found out. The mother is expected to testify against Stiles during the hearing.Stiles faces 24 charges in connection to the sexual assault. If convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.
