It's not something Valley residents get to see a lot of, but officials from one resort are bringing an ice rink to Las Vegas.

The Lake Las Vegas Resort will hold their fourth-annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, which will feature the opening of a floating ice rink.

Officials said the rink can accommodate up to 60 skaters at a time and uses 110, five-gallon buckets of water and a 12,000-pound chiller unit to help keep the ice cold.

Skaters can access the rink from Friday through Feb. 17. Admission is $15 per person and $12 for children younger than 12 years old.

For more information on the lighting ceremony or the floating ice rink, visit the Lake Las Vegas Resort's Web site.
