Metro Holds OffenderWatch Open House
Meeting To Provide Information On Program
In an effort to inform the public about their new OffenderWatch, Metro police will hold a First Tuesday Open House to tell the public about the program.Offender Watch is a community notification system that allows citizens to enter addresses and locate information about registered sex offenders who live within one mile of that address. Residents can register their address to receive e-mail notifications when offenders move within a one-mile area.The Southern Nevada Sex Offender Task Force will offer more information to educate the public about common myths about sex offenders at the Tuesday meeting.There are eight different locations for the First Tuesday Open House:
- Bolden Area Command, 1851 Stella Lake Str.
Downtown Area Command, 621 N. Nine St.
Northeast Area Command, 831 N. Mojave Rd.
South Central Area Command, 4860 S. Las Vegas Blvd.
Southeast Area Command, 3675 E.Harmon Ave.
Southwest Area Command, 5925 W. Spring Mountain Rd.
