PAHRUMP, Nev. -- Authorities said the man who turned in a tape -- featuring the sexual assault of a toddler -- has fled the area due to a probation violation. Representatives from the Parol Board went looking for Darrin Tuck, 26, at his residence in Pahrump late Friday evening and could not find him, police said. They now consider Tuck a fugitive on the run.Police said Tuck turned the tape over to authorities last week, after being investigated for a string of home burglaries. Tuck claims he found it in the desert. He submitted himself to a polygraph test in Las Vegas on Friday, which the Nye County authorities said he failed."There was no surprise to the Nye Country Sheriff that he (Tuck) would fail the polygraph," Sheriff Tony Demeo said. "We didn't think he was going to pass that."Tuck still claims his innocence in this situation, saying he is just an innocent victim who found the tape in the desert and turned it over to authorities. He admits that he had possession of the tape since May.
"I've seen it one time," Tuck said. "And it made me sick to my stomach. So, why would I want to watch it again? They make it sound like I just call all my friends over and have a tea party and watch it. If they put as much effort into trying to find him as they are harassing me, they might be getting somewhere."He is now asking the man wanted in connection to the tape -- Chester Stiles -- to turn himself in."Mr. Stiles, I know you're out there," he said. "You were hurting the two little girls on the tape, but its also hurting me. You know what's right and I think you should do what you need to do."Tuck was on a probation violation for not paying child support. He is currently facing possession of child pornography and promotion of sexual acts of a minor.Officers ask that if you have any information, call the Nye County Sheriff's office at 775-751-7000.
