Police Know Date On Section Of Tape

PAHRUMP, Nev. -- Nye County officials have confirmed they know when one section of a sexual assault tape was filmed.Police said they know the time and date when the second section of the tape was filmed, which features the girl, who has been identified. In an effort to keep the investigation moving forward, they said they would not release the information at this time.Authorities said a second, older girl from the tape was identified sometime Wednesday evening into Thursday morning by a viewer who saw her image on television. She is a resident of Pahrump who, police said, is safe and at home with her family.Police are still trying to identity of the younger girl in a leopard dress and the man who, police said, sexually abused her in the recording. They ask that if you know the identity of either person, call the Nye County Sheriff's Office at 775-751-7000.
