Older Girl Safe With Family

Nye County Sheriff's officials have identified one of the girls in a sexual assault tape. Police said she lives in Pahrump with her parents and is safe.

Police identified the second, older girl from a different scene in the tape. Officers will be talking to her parents, as well as investigating the neighborhood around her residence for potential sex offenders. They are still looking for the younger girl, who is recorded in a leopard dress and reportedly sexually abused in the tape, according to police.

The leopard dress the girl is wearing, police said, is part of a 2003 spring collection and sold in Dillard's and in high-end children's stores. The television in the video is a 2003, which gives police a better idea of when the tape was possibly shot.

Officers said the release of the new photos Wednesday was responsible for the discovery. While police don't think she was sexually abused, they do say a man spied on her through a window.

The identities of the younger girl and the man on the tape are still a mystery. The girl in the leopard dress appears to be 4 to 5 years old at the time of the recording. The man, who police said abused the girl, has a mole on the right side of his chest.

Police have arrested Darrin Tuck, who turned the tape in to authorities. Tuck said he found it in the desert five months ago, but only recently gave it to police.

His attorney now says that five month time frame is all wrong, but wouldn't say how long Tuck actually had the tape.

"This is a classic case of killing the messenger," attorney Thomas Gibson said. "He had to help this little girl."

Tuck is charged with possession of child pornography and promotion of sexual acts of a minor. Gibson said that's bogus.
