Police Need Help Identifying People In Pornographic Tape

After receiving a graphic tape of a young girl being assaulted by an adult male, Nye County police need help identifying both the victim and the man.

"There's no other way to describe it," said Detective David Boruchowitz with the Nye County Sheriff's Office. "She's a victim that's used to being victimized."

Police said the tape shows a little girl being abused and violated by an adult man.

"It's as awful as you can imagine," Boruchowitz said. "It's explicit and just about the worst you can imagine."

Investigators said the tape was turned in by Darrin Tuck, 26, of Pahrump. Tuck said he found the tape in the desert. After another investigation, police said Tuck had possession of the tape for over five months, showing it to other people.

"It's cases like that that push you towards the edge, if you know what I mean," said Lt. Ed Howard with Nye County Sheriff's Office. "This is obviously not the first time this subject has done that. Therefore, there could be hundreds of victims. We don't have any way of knowing, but the guy needs to be taken off the streets."

Boruchowitz and Howard hope someone can recognize the girl, or her attacker, and contact them with information to their identities.

"Whoever sees that picture is going to know right off the bat that's their child," Howard said. "Even if it (the tape) is 10 years old, you would still remember that."

Tuck has been charged with possession of child pornography and promotion of sexual acts of a minor. If convicted, he could get sentenced to life behind bars.

Police are asking that if you have any information to the identity of the girl or man in the video, call CrimeStoppers at 702-385-5555.
