LAS VEGAS -- A key witness in the O.J. Simpson armed robbery case was arrested Wednesday for a parole violation.Alfred Beardsley was arrested by a fugitive task force at the Luxor hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Beardsley is one of two sports memorabilia collectors accusing Simpson and other men of barging into a hotel room last Thursday and stealing autographed footballs.Authorities said Beardsley was wanted on a California warrant for a parole violation. He was taken into custody without incident and is being held at the Clark County Detention Center pending extradition to California.Beardsley was one of the first witnesses to talk to the media, giving an exclusive interview to TMZ the day the alleged robbery happened.The other collector, Bruce Fromong, has been admitted to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in critical condition after a massive heart attack.
