LAS VEGAS -- In continual efforts to control traffic violations, eight officers from the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program will be patrolling the Strip.Officers will be focusing on intoxicated driving, failure to yield at red lights or right-of-way, speeding and pedestrian violations.
S.T.E.P. enforcement was designed by officers to address violations that are most likely to cause crashes where Metro police have deemed high-collision locations. By concentrating on the worst crash locations, and targeting the most dangerous violations, Metro police said they have the greatest effect on reducing crashes and saving lives where we are most needed by the public.
