With more people traveling the skies, McCarran Airport is looking for new ways to take away the hassle. It held a seminar Thursday exhibiting the newest advances in technology that will play a key role in the future of travel.

"Airlines, hotels, airports really realize that the customers need to have the business brought to them," Chris Jones, with McCarran Airport, said. "(Instead of) them waiting for them to come to the airport."

The 2007 Travel Trade Show placed the spotlight on things like biometric security measures, using cell phones as electronic airline boarding passes, and airline check-in at hotel front desks as ways to make travel more convenient.

Airport officials said the goal is to get more people in and out quicker, relieving congestion and frustration.

The Trade Show included major airports and airlines from around the country and hospitality industry leaders like the MGM Mirage.
