LAS VEGAS -- The Hollywood-based developers who are taking over the Lady Luck Casino said they hope to reopen the shuttered property within two years.John Given of the C.I.M. Group told the City Council Wednesday that his firm's priority was putting the casino on the "fastest track to turn the lights back on." Given said his group would like the right to buy 5.5 acres of land -- that is now home to Frank Wright Plaza -- as part of a revival of the property.The Lady Luck closed in February 2006.
The council unanimously approved the selling of the land.
