LAS VEGAS -- Officials with the Clark County School District are creating a study group to revise the current academic calendar.Superintendent Walt Rulffes said the volunteer group will be asked to review the components of a year-round school calendar and make recommendations to his office. Rulffes said the group will discuss academic achievement, family consideration, costs and other issues that would impact decisions concerning year-round schools.Officials said the group will be comprised of six parents and three non-parent community stakeholders, which will be selected from the application pool.
