MOUNT CHARLESTON, Nev. -- Graffiti artists are now taking their trade outside of Las Vegas. Authorities said the taggers are now making their way to the Mount Charleston National Park. The U.S. Forest Service said it's seeing an increase in littering and graffiti at Mount Charleston and it's getting very expensive to clean up.“It is very sad when these folks come up,” said Lorrie Brittingham with the U.S. Forrest Service. "They can't transition into a phase of appreciating the area and celebrating its beauty, instead of bringing up some of the lower aspects of urban living.”Some kids from a juvenile youth camp helped cover up some of the graffiti Tuesday. Forest officials said there are penalties for graffiti vandalism that range from $5,000 to five months in jail.
