Shine A Light On 'The Dark Knight'

Film Was Last Ledger Completed

What will forever be known as the last film actor Heath Ledger ever completed, one of this year's most highly-anticipated movies is about to storm theaters.

In "The Dark Knight," Batman is still working to remove the organized crime bosses from Gotham. His alter-ego, Bruce Wayne, is dealing with not getting everything he wants, namely Rachel Dawes.

Just when he thought the city's crime tide had subsided, a new type of criminal instills a new deep fear in the citizens.

This time, "The Dark Knight" faces a rising psychopathic criminal called The Joker, whose eerie grin makes him more dangerous than anything he has ever faced.

Christian Bale is back as the winged hero, with Sir Michael Cane as Alfred and Gary Oldman as Lt. James Gordon. The cast is rounded out with Maggie Gyllenhaal (Rachel Dawes), Aaron Eckhart (District Attorney Harvey Dent) and Heath Ledger (The Joker).

Will Batman be able to contain The Joker? Find out July 18.
