Bartolotta Recipes Make Easy Meals For Mother's Day
As many people know, one of the best Mother's Day presents a woman could get is one her child/children make for her.In an effort to help those creative kiddos make the holiday memorable, Giulia and Paul Bartolotta with BARTOLOTTA, Ristorante di Mare in the Wynn Hotel-Casino have two family-friendly recipes any child could make.Note: These recipes call for use of the stove and a blender. Parental supervision will be needed.French Toast: Serves Two
Ingredients:
- Four eggs One cup of milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and nutmeg Three tablespoons of butter Three thick slices of day-old bread 1/2 cup maple syrup Powdered sugar for decoration
- Break the eggs into a bowl. Add the milk and whip with a fork or wire whisk. Whisk in the vanilla extract, nutmeg and cinnamon. Cut the bread into heart shapes with a cookie cutter. Melt the butter in a non stick pan. Soak the bread in the egg mixture. Cook until lightly browned on both sides. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve immediately with warm maple syrup.
- One cup washed, halved strawberries One banana, roughly chopped One cup strawberry yogurt One tablespoon honey 1 1/2 cups of milk
- Put the strawberries, banana, yogurt, honey and milk into a blender and blend until smooth, thick and creamy. Pour into two cups. Serve immediately.
