Melinda Sheckells is the editor of Las Vegas Home & Design magazine, the city’s premier authority on stylish living. Sheckells joined the H & D team in May 2007 from Newport Beach, Calif., where she was previously the senior editor of Peninsula Publishing.

During her time at the publishing company, Sheckells oversaw five award-winning magazines targeted at residential architecture and interior design. She studied English and creative writing and the University of California, Irvine, and International Journalism at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Prior to working in magazine publishing, Sheckells held positions at the Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register, ABC News Nightline and FOX KTTV Los Angeles. Melinda is a frequent speaker at national design and architecture events and is working on developing additional products for H & D.
