Padres Acquire Pair Of Pitchers To Complete Maddux Trade

(Sports Network) - The San Diego Padres acquired minor league pitchers Michael Watt and Eduardo Perez from the Dodgers Tuesday to complete the August 19 trade that sent veteran Greg Maddux to Los Angeles.

The 19-year-old Watt was 9-4 with a 4.35 earned run average in 15 starts for rookie level Ogden this season, while Perez, 20, recorded a 4-3 record with a 3.38 ERA in 12 games between Ogden and the Gulf Coast League Dodgers.

Maddux, who has 355 career wins, was 2-4 with a 5.09 ERA in seven starts for the National League West champion Dodgers.
