Yankees New Affiliate Of Scranton Organization

(Sports Network) - The New York Yankees are the new affiliate of the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, an International-League team which was previously the top minor league club for the Philadelphia Phillies, will now be controlled by the California-based Mandalay Sports Entertainment.

According to a report in the Scranton Times-Tribune, Mandalay also has the option to purchase the franchise for $16.4 million.
