OFFENSE REPORT: On September 23, 2004, at 5:29 p.m., a security officer heard a loud bang like a door or window. As the security officer approached the area of the noise, he observed a male adult running down the stairs from the victim’s apartment. The male adult, later identified as the defendant Jessie Greer, was bleeding from his right arm. The security officer went up to the victim’s apartment and noticed stereo equipment had been thrown around. In addition, a glass cage in the kitchen had been broken and a dead snake was lying on the floor with it’s insides splattered on the stove. The security officer also noticed the front door had been kicked in. The victim was able to give a positive identification of the suspect. The victim provided the security officer a picture of the suspect. An arrest warrant was subsequently issued for the defendant’s arrest. He was arrested on April 16, 2005.
