Assignment Desk Editor

Position Summary: This position assists the assignment manager and directs/coordinates the news gathering efforts of reporters/photographers. Responsibilities also include assisting with producing, writing and assembling the news broadcasts.

Minimum Qualifications -- all must be met to be considered.

Education: High school diploma required; college degree in broadcasting preferred.

Experience: Two to three years of experience as an assignment editor at a commercial TV or radio station.

Specific skills: Knowledge of Las Vegas is a plus, and you must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Abilities: You must have excellent communication and customer service skills. Also, you must know how to use a newsroom computer system.
