AM NEWS PRODUCER

Position Summary: To develop appealing newscasts which are informative and interesting for station viewers. Must deal effectively with other departments within the station.

Minimum Qualifications: All must be met to be considered.

Education: College graduate, degree in journalism, communications or related field.

Experience: Two (2) years as an Assistant Producer or Producer at a commercial or public TV station.

Specific knowledge: Knowledge of how news stories and events can be photographed and write intelligent stories for viewers. Knowledge of Nevada and the Las Vegas Market helpful.

Skills and Abilities: Must be able to manage a number of news stories, reports and photojournalists. Make public inquiries in an orderly fashion. Must have excellent people skills.
