ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- With Tropical Storm Hanna aiming for North Carolina, some hotels in the Asheville area are hearing from coastal residents looking for a haven. The Grove Park Inn Spa & Resort has been getting dozens of calls checking on availability and booking rooms for couples and families fleeing the path of the storm. The hotel is continuing a special "Safe Haven" rate offered last week to Gulf Coast residents who evacuated in the face of Hurricane Gustav. This weekend, Grove Park offers rooms at $189 per night, rather than the typical rate of $335.Jenny Herman of The Residences at Biltmore, a luxury condominium-style hotel, said her property saw plenty of business during Gustav and has already taken some reservations for the weekend.
