LAS VEGAS -- Getting around southern Nevada will take some planning ahead for a lot of drivers this weekend.The Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas Marathon kicks off Sunday morning, taking a route that begins on the northern end of the Strip and takes runners west toward Spanish Trail.Half-marathon runners will begin at Spring Mountain Road and head south down the Strip to Mandalay Bay.As many as 27,000 people from all 50 states and 39 countries are expected to take part.Drivers need to be aware of more than two dozen closures during the event, with the majority of delays around the resort corridor.The earliest closure begins at 3 a.m. and several last until Sunday afternoon.
