'Paranormal' Director Filming In Vegas

'Area 51' Set At Nellis Air Force Base

Director Oren Peli, whose micro-budget horror film “Paranormal Activity” has become an overnight sensation, is filming his next project in Las Vegas this week.

Peli will be shooting scenes for “Area 51” at Dixie's Dam Bar inside the Hooters Hotel and Casino Thursday. The film about the infamous UFO warehouse is set at Nellis Air Force Base, although its unknown if Peli will be allowed to shoot on the base.

“Paranormal Activity,” which was produced on a budget of $15,000, is currently playing at Rave Motion Pictures at Town Square.
