Dr. Jason Michaels is the founder of and physician at Aspire Cosmetic MedCenter, which opened in January 2007. Aspire offers its clients the most comprehensive evaluation and greatest number of effective treatment options in dermatologic care in Las Vegas. It provides a full scope of medical services, ranging from basic dermatologic treatments like botox, fillers and chemical peels to more elaborate laser procedures such as blepharoplasty or skin resurfacing.

He is considered a thought-leader in cosmetic dermatology treatment and techniques by his peers and speaks nationally on a regular basis for major physician, nursing and aesthetic conferences. Dr. Michaels was named Las Vegas’ Image Maker by Vegas magazine and is published in peer-reviewed journals and text books as well. For more than eight years prior to opening Aspire Cosmetic MedCenter, he was a dermatologist at Las Vegas Skin and Cancer Clinic, specializing in laser medicine, cosmetic dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery.

He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine internship at Brown University and dermatology residency at Texas Tech University. He later obtained his Masters of Business Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Dr. Michaels is a firm believer in the value of continuing education and mastering best practices and procedures. He has had additional training over the past nine years ranging from Latest Advances in Cosmetic Surgery of the Face, Klein Mocrocannular Tumescent Liposuction, Comprehensive Cosmetic Blepharoplasty and Laser Resurfacing, to Minimally Invasive Techniques for Facial Rejuvenation. All of his training comes from the leading institutes and schools in the West and also Harvard Medical School. Dr. Michaels has also completed preceptorships with six of the top cosmetic dermatologists and laser surgeons in the country.

His quest for knowledge continues through his participation in multiple boards and associations in his field around the state and country: American Board of Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, International Society of Cosmetic and Laser Surgeons, American Society for Photodynamic Therapy, American Medical Association, Nevada State Medical Association, and Clark County Medical Society.

Dr. Michaels was raised in Las Vegas, graduating from Bishop Gorman High School. He resides in Summerlin with his wife, Andrea, and their two children, Camila and Jack. In his spare time, he enjoys all aspects of good health, running and cycling. He is an avid painter, is learning to play the piano and enjoys collecting original Pulitzer Prize winning biographies.
