In hopes of apprehending the man accused of the sexual assault of a toddler, Chester "Chet" Arthur Stiles' ex-girlfriend is speaking to the public.

"Chester Arthur Stiles is our primary suspect crimes against a minor," said Metro Officer Vincent Cannito, "lewdness with a minor and sexual assault."

Stiles' ex-girlfriend, Tina Allen, said she hasn't slept in days because she feels guilty. She said she was the one who introduced Stiles to the family of the victim.

"I'm disgusted," Allen said. "I'm embarrassed -- I'm mortified. I regret every step I ever took. I feel bad for the baby. It hasn't only victimized this child, it traumatized my children. Her mother, her relatives -- it has traumatized more than one small child."

Allen said Stiles is a manipulative person who earns people's trust and takes advantage of them. She said he is a former Navy Seal who knows how to run and how to survive. She claims he was homeless for a year, then worked for Siegfried and Roy as an animal trainer.

"He had spent years cultivating a theme that he was a good man," she said.

People need to be careful if they spot Stiles, Allen said, because his violent temper could turn on people.

"If he has the opportunity to be taken alive," she said, "he will take someone down with him. I guarantee that. He avoided the police many times. The man is very intelligent -- he does have a high I.Q."

Stiles is currently wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a 3-year-old girl, which was recorded on a videotape. Police ask that if you know his whereabouts, call CrimeStoppers at 702-385-5555.
