District Must Cut $120M From Budget To Meet Governor's Request
Clark County School District officials are offering parents the opportunity to help them trim $120 million from the district's budget.During a public meeting Tuesday, board trustees said they will use the ideas given by parents to make the best out of a bad situation.In a Webcast posted this week, district officials, including superintendent Walt Rulffes, outlined a proposal to cut $120 million form the budget, which includes a 3.5 percent budget cut at each school.The school district has already received thousands of surveys they issued to parents, but they still want more input from the community, so they are holding two town hall meetings.
